Community Eye Care Unit

The state-of-the-art facilities available include higher end Phacoemulsification systems(Infiniti IP, Laureate) which enable us to perform Phacoemulsification(Micro incision suture less surgery) under topical anaesthesia.Microscopes (Lumera etc.) which help in decreasing intra operative complications, surgical instrument which help in minimal post-operative refractive errors, YAG laser to treat posterior capsular opacification occurring after cataract surgery, Specular microscopy and Pachymetry which allows us to select the correct surgical options for the patients and digital slit lamp photography unit are the special equipment available. All types of cataract surgeries including refractive cataract surgeries (Toric, Pseudoaccomodative lenses, LRI) and complex cataract surgeries are performed by competent surgeons.


Uvea Clinic

This unit treat patient of anterior, intermediate and posterior uveitis and manage complicated cases of uveitis along with systemicevaluation of these patients.Uveitiswith complicated cataract,uveitis with glaucoma and uveitis with vitreoretinalcomplications are handled in close cooperation with specialized consultant in the respective fields.The clinic has all state-of-the-art technologies and an excellent infrastructure for clinical examination.The hospital has a well developed laboratory for investigations including microbiology,pathology and the imaging technologies like FFA, USG and OCT.


Cornea Clinic

Disease affect the cornea are a major cause of blindness all over the world.A range of infectious and inflammatory eye conditions ultimately affect the transparency of the cornea and cause corneal blindness. They add a substantial burden to the community’ in general, and healthcare resources, in particular, all over the world.Further, individuals with corneal blindness are usually of a younger age group compared with those suffering from cataract.Hence,in terms of total blind years, the impact of corneal blindness is great.The significant conditions since in this clinic are corneal ulcers,corneal dystrophies, of which the majority are Macular corneal dystrophies.The cornea clinic is successfully conducted around 45 to 50 coronal transplant per year.Cornea is also utilised for research purpose and training is imparted to residents.Aneye donation fortnight is observed every year to create awareness among the general public and honour the families of the deceased donors.


Glaucoma Clinic

The clinic is well known for successful treatment and management of glaucoma patients. The clinic also serves as a large referral centre for the treatment of congenital glaucoma. It is also designated as the training centre for glaucoma diagnosis andmanagement, by the central government. This year training in glaucoma diagnosis and management was imparted to 25 eye surgeons from various district hospital of Uttar Pradesh.


Paediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus Clinic

Paediatric Ophthalmology clinic is providing comprehensive services to all children aged below 16 year, and is well recognized all over eastern U.P. The clinic is dedicated for examining and treating children's eye diseases.The most common childhood eye diseases treated in this clinic are refractive errors, strabismus, amblyopia, congenital Cataract, genetic eye diseases and congenital glaucoma.Jointly with the retina services it conducted screening and offer treatment for Retinopathy of Prematurity (ROP), and make all efforts to enhance the residual vision in children with visual impairment by providing either optical ornon-optical low vision aids. The clinic examinesand treat more than five thousandpediatric patients and perform around eight hundred surgeries annually.Strabismus clinic is actively involved with theorthoptic, rehabilitative and surgical management ofpaediatricand adult strabismus patient along with essential amblyopia management.


Retina and Vitreous Clinic
